Under 80 days to go :)

We are getting so very close :) Just a few things to update on:

Invitations are being printed as we speak! I just finished the invites themselves, and am printing the RSVP cards now, and then the reception cards. I can't believe its taken me this long to get these going...but I guess that's life :) Envelopes will be here next week, so when I get back from Florida I have about a week to address, assemble, and mail! Luckily I don't have too much else to do these days :) I really like the way they're turning out! I'll put up a pic once I get them all assembled!

We've been a little worried lately about our swelling guestlist fitting into our dining hall (even tried to get the bigger hall, but it was booked), but I think I've finally gotten mom to stop coming up with more people! And I got her to go on out to Camp Weed and see what she thinks about the space. She thinks we'll be fine, especially since there's a big patio to set up some extra tables.

Other than that I'm just trying to get all the little things done - figuring out how to decorate our sweetheart table, getting our hair and makeup appointments finalized, and picking out songs, etc. It'll be here before I know it!

Brian's family is coming in this weekend for his birthday, so tomorrow we get to clean up the apartment and bake a cake! I'm excited to have company again :)

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Wedding Day Hair :)

I need opinions!! Here's what I'm leaning towards for my hair:

But with a pretty rose pinned on the side, something like this:
or maybe a couple of small roses (I'm sticking with roses, since ALL the other flowers will be roses). I could also do a hot pink rose to match the other flowers, but I kinda like the white.

So, what do you all think??

a quick post before I start dinner :)

Hi all! Just wanted to do a quick update, then I've got to start on dinner :) Just a few things:

- The paper is here for our invitations!! And I went and bought extra ink today for the printer, so tomorrow I should be able to start printing!!

- We figured out how to save money on the flowers - my aunt Lilah (who has the greenest thumb ever, and used to arrange flowers) has offered to help put together the centerpieces and other arrangements for me :) For the centerpieces I'm sticking with the square glass vase, filled with blueberries (Lilah's idea - great way to get my blue in the arrangement!) and my hot pink roses :) I ran by Michael's to check out the vases they had, and look at one mom thinks would work, and they have several that I think will work, and for only about $2-$3 a piece :) This way, we can order bulk roses from either my florist or Publix or something, for much cheaper than having the florist do the arrangements. We're still planning on getting the bouquest, bouts, and corsages from Mrs. Nelda (the florist :)

- I got my first spray tan :) A tanning salon right down the road from our apartment does Mystic tans, so I decided to give it a try Saturday afternoon. I was very nervous it was going to turn out orange or something, but I think it came out really nice! It looks very natural, and is just enough color for me. I need to do a little better with the blending lotion on my hands and feet, cause they look pretty funny, but I'm sure I'll figure it out :) Now just to see how long it lasts!

- Emily's flower girl dress and accessories are in already :) One more thing to check off the list! If only all of my bridesmaids were as organized as Jenn!

Hope you all have a wonderful week! We're getting closer and closer to the big day!!

More checks!

We're less than 100 days away! And there is still so much to do! But we've gotten alot done in the last couple of weeks.

- Tuxes are picked! Brian and I went last weekend and picked out tuxes - which was the easiest wedding planning we've done so far! We went with a simple black tux, a white vest & tie for Brian, navy vests & ties for the groomsmen and dad, white shirt, black & silver cufflinks, and black shoes. All the guys need to do is go in to get measured by May 23rd. We're picking up and dropping off the tuxes at the Gainesville store, to make it easier on everyone (and they're due back the next day, so this way we can drop them off on the way to Orlando.) Brian should be contacting all the guys with the group name & number for when they go to get measured. I think the tuxes we picked will look great!

- We applied for our Passports!!! Hopefully our applications go through smoothly and we should have our Passports in about 3 weeks :)

- I figured out how to print our invitations!!! And they look great!! We're using a white pearl metallic paper for the invites & RSVPs, and a pink metallic paper for the reception cards. The paper looks great, and feels heavy and nice. I ordered the paper and it should be here this week, then its time to print, print, print!

- I've also entered the guestlist into the guestlist tool on The Knot. This is a cool feature that lets you catergorize people in many different ways (so I can seperate them by out-of-towners, or even who all is invited to the rehearsal dinner.) It is also an easy way to track RSVPs, so I'm glad I got it entered.

- I came up with an idea for the Ushers (my brothers). Mom and dad kept asking if I wanted them in the same tuxes as the groomsmen, which I really don't since they're NOT groomsmen. So I think we should put them in black suits and find them navy & pink ties :) Like this:

What do you all think? I'm reallly liking this idea, and this way they won't match the groomsmen, but its still something special thats wedding related.

- My trip to Florida is set! I'll be in Florida from March 25-31. So hopefully in this week I'll be able to get the flowers and the cake finalized. That Friday I'll be going to Gainesville with mom and she wants to do some shopping for her wedding outfit. That Saturday a family friend from church is throwing me my first shower :) I'm really excited. Then Monday afternoon I'm taking mom and our photographer to Camp Weed to show them the space, get ideas from mom on decorating (she's much better at spacial visualizations than I am), and get any unanswered questions answered. It'll be a busy week, but it will be great to finally get some of this stuff done.

I think that's all I have to update on for now :) We're getting so close!! Hope you all have a wonderful week!
